CRANIO SACRAL THERAPY & HOW YOU CAN BENEFIT Cranio Sacral therapy is a holistic healing practice that uses very light touching to balance the Cranio Sacral system in the body, which includes the bones, nerves, fluids, and connective tissues of the cranium and spinal area. The first written reference to the movement of the spinal nerves and its importance in life, clarity, and "bringing quiet to the heart" is found in a 4,000-year-old text from China. In its current form, the therapy was originally discovered and developed by doctors around 1860. In the 1980-ies the American doctor Upledger started doing research, when he wasn't able to hold a brain membrane still during surgery. He developed a complete method and named this methodology Cranio Sacral. The goal of this therapy is to create a regular and balanced flow of the spinal fluids.
